The Omega Task
The Omega Task was founded by Ben and Taja in 2013. We just celebrated 10 years on our June 2024 Mission Trip! What started as a pile of dirt became a beautiful base and mission house that currently runs several ministries. Ben grew up in the coffee farms and was called to disciple in the very same neighborhood in which he was raised. His wife Taja runs a pre-natal program and together they run a kids Club and a youth group. The mission house also consists of a coffee shop and restaurant called The Bandola Cafe which sells its own coffee. It helps fund the mission and other ministries such as sewing and quilting classes. Ben's vision for the mission is to expand locations and leadership to train up missionaries and disciples by using sustainable developments.
A southern Costa Rica location known as The Sea Side Mission is in the works as we speak! Teams are needed to help in the construction of the Bunkhouse. This bunkhouse will support teams as we begin to build the Worship and Mission training center. The Sea Side Mission is located in the Golfo Dulce, one of the most bio-diverse places in the world! It has several species of monkeys, birds, turtles, and whales. It is in the heart of the rainforest, absolutely stunning, beautiful and lush.
These missions all started with a prayer over the dirt and an unwavering faith in God to provide.
If we had one word to describe Ben, it would be: Faithful. He looks at dirt and he sees a mission. He sees a solution. He sees a vision of the future.

Airfare
Airfare from your departure city to San Jose, Costa Rica. Economy Class. Upgrades are available upon request.
Accommodations
Accommodations at an Air BnB near the Sea Side Mission site. Generally, bunk beds, queen beds, sofa beds, or mattresses.
Separate rooms will be designated for men and designated for women.
Meals
All meals included except on free days you may be responsible for lunch or dinner. All meals will be cooked and prepared.

Initial Deposit will be $800 to secure your spot. $400 will be due by August 15th.
Cut off to book by will be August 15th also.
The remainder will be due two weeks prior to departure and paid in full.

Insurance
requirement
Exodus Travel requires all missionaries to purchase travel insurance. You will be emailed quotes to choose from. You must pick one. Cost ranges from $50-$120 and up dependent on your age and your choice of coverage. These are excellent plans and they cover luggage, flight changes, emergency cancellations, medical, and additionally some have a life insurance policy.
Itinerary
The itinerary can change slightly depending on which days the teams are flying in. A final customized itinerary will be sent to you. This is tentative. Expect the unexpected as things may change.
Day 1 Meet the Team!
The first day will be spent at the The Omega Task Mission house in Grecia. Most of us will fly in and stay the first night there before taking the five-hour trek to the Sea Side Mission.
Day 2 Drive to Sea Side Mission
Catch the morning light after a light breakfast and head to the Sea Side Mission. You will be transported by bus. It is a five + hour drive depending on traffic. We will arrive at the Air BnB and get settled in. Have lunch and Orientation at the Sea Side Mission. Dinner and time to rest.
Day 3 Time to Serve!
The next several days will be the same.
Breakfast at 7am- Work by 8am. Lunch served in the afternoon. Work. Back to the Air Bnb for Dinner, Devotion and rest.
Day 4
Breakfast at 7am- Work by 8am. Lunch served in the afternoon. Work. Back to the Air Bnb for Dinner, Devotion and rest.
Day 5 The Lord's Day
Breakfast at 7am. The Lord's Day. Church with Ben and Free day.
Day 6
Breakfast at 7am- Work by 8am. Lunch served in the afternoon. Work. Back to the Air Bnb for Dinner, Devotion and rest.
Day 7
Breakfast at 7am- Work by 8am. Lunch served in the afternoon. Work. Back to the Air Bnb for Dinner, Devotion and rest.
Day 8
Breakfast at 7am- Work by 8am. Lunch served in the afternoon. Work. Back to the Air Bnb for Dinner, Devotion and rest.
Day 9 Drive back to The Omega Task in Grecia.
Bright and early trek back to Grecia to the Mission House at Omega Task. Our last night in Costa Rica. Devotional and time to say our goodbyes. Pure Vida! Until we meet again!
Day 10 Time to go home
Everyone will be transported to the airport for their return flights home. Pure Vida!
